Senior Fit: T-Tapp

This special Brain-Body Fitness Workout was created to help everyone maximize muscle activation, circulation and lymphatic health regardless of age. Benefits include: Improves strength, flexibility, heart health as well as increases energy and decreases inflammation, improves balance and posture to stand taller. Look and feel better!  No weights, no equipment and no impact BUT Special sequence of mindful movements combined with leverage isometrics.

Silver Spin-Ata

Do Fitness_Center_2007_215you need to work on your balance, endurance, and strength plus burn some calories over the holidays? Would you like to play with the grandkids longer or simply have more energy?  Do you want to get stronger and have better balance for the wintery season that lies ahead? Silver Spin-Ata might be the class for you. This four-week cross training class is appropriate for all fitness levels.  Our Silver Spin-Ata class will involve spinning (cycling) and a variety of off-the-bike Tabata-style exercises.  The goal of this high-intensity interval training is to get the entire body involved.  Silver Spin-Ata is cycling paired with body weight exercises for fat burning, cardio-vascular improvements and strength building. This is the efficient, all-in-one workout you’ve been waiting for!

Sneaky Fit: Making Movement A Priority

This class will be about how to fit short, focused, effective, and efficient movements into your day.  Class uses the T-Tapp method – using a combination and variety of T-Tapp muscle activation movements from TAPPCORE, CHAIR, STEP AWAY THE INCHES and more!  It’s designed for EVERYONE – beginners, those struggling to stay active in spite of their desk jobs and/or busy days, and to help the fit get fitter.  Benefits include: Improved health and wellness, loss of inches, strengthens and stretches, improved lymphatic flow, aerobic conditioning, brain-body health, and de-stresses while energizing the body.

 Multiracial senior women staying fit in the fitness centerStrongWomen

The StrongWomen program is a research based strength training program for post-menopausal women.  This training is studio based in a small group format.  The benefits of the program include increased muscle mass and strength, improved bone density and reduced risk for osteoporosis, reduced risk for diabetes and other medical conditions, as well as improved self-confidence.

This program is provided at the UFC as a service of the Dauphin County Penn State Cooperative Extension Office.
