An 8-week wellness program for Penn State Health and College of Medicine employees supported by your employer

We can’t escape stress, but we can become more resilient to its effects.  This special 8-week yoga and meditation class can help.  Each class will include breathing techniques, yoga exercises, deep relaxation, and meditation.  No experience is necessary.  Class is non-competitive and all exercises can be modified as needed.  

We will practice skills that can last a lifetime:

  • Learn how to use the breath to enjoy the mind-body connection
  • Learn relaxation skills to release tension and improve sleep
  • Relieve anxiety
  • Feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally

*The usual fee for this class is $140 however, when you attend 6 out of the 8 classes, the fee will be waived.  Class is limited to 20 people.

**Registration and payment details:  No payment is needed from you to register and join the roster.  Part of the registration process is that you are agreeing to a payroll deduction of $140 if you do not meet the attendance requirement, which is at least 6 of the 8 classes. 

About the Instructor: 
Dan Coma, E-RYT-200, C-IAYT, has been teaching here for nine years and is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists.  In addition to group classes, he teaches Personal Healing Yoga for students facing various conditions including cancer, anxiety, insomnia, pain and other chronic conditions, as a complement to their medical care.  Structural and walking analysis is also available.
