The Research Concierge Service (RCS) was established by the Office of the Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Studies to help investigators overcome the barriers to obtaining extramural funding and conducting research at the College of Medicine.
The RCS works with investigators at all career stages and in all disciplines that have an appointment at the College of Medicine. Projects are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Core services include:
- Managing development of large funding proposals
- Strategic writing support for small funding proposals
- Help identifying collaborators
- Help identifying mentors
- Assistance evaluating funding opportunities for a specific project
The RCS is affiliated with the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI), which builds on the strong tradition and rich experience of collaborative interdisciplinary thinking at Penn State. As such, the RCS has a strategic goal to support interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
