There is no easy way to answer this question. Because the majority of K grants are awarded through NIH parent announcements, which accept applications 3 times a year (January, May, September), it is generally understood that institutes will try to reserve some of their budget authority for each funding round. The only way to know, in general, how much they might award is to look at prior fiscal years. It can be insightful to examine the NIH Paylines and Success Rates for the IC you are considering for a K submission.
